I was reading the other day that the suspected cause of the crash in China earlier last year was deliberate action by the pilot. This is happening a bit too often for my liking.

Indeed, worrying. Going back to the aftermath of the incident were the German pilot flew the plane into the Alps whenever a pilot came out to use the toilet a stewardess took his/her place in the cockpit. On recent flights I’ve noticed that isn’t happening any more and the pilot is being left alone in control of the plane.
Then I read of rumours that modern planes can be hacked and flown/crashed remotely.
