Zero posts, joined July 9th and sent this concerning my wanted ad:

He mentioned he had a Shizuoka VHR Knee Mill for sale. Hit him up [email protected] he might still have what you looking for.
Cheers Mate and stay safe

The pictures received almost had me fooled, until I matched them with an old ad that was originally from Thailand!

I suspect user fordeen is a scammer. User KLJDX also tried to run a fast one on me recently. He, however, is a known scammer.

I trust my gut feeling. Neither of these guys got anywhere close to getting my money.

There are at least two auctions that have the same sketchy vibe for optical comparators on eBay.
If they want to buy it now, why not just have a buy it now? Is this for real or is it a scam?

What some boards do is that you can't post nor reply to a for sale listing until you have 10 non-sale posts.

You can take the spammer's pictures and put them in google image search. If it shows up, then you know he pulled the ad from somewhere else. If it doesn't, that's not definitive, though.

Camper ads have gotten so bad that almost all ads for certain campers (Scamp, Airstream Bambi) are scams.

Slightly off topic, but still of concern:

When you post the link to something, like the ebay auction MMC posted:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/304728707481?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=AH_OfcjIRvq&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=BhQ9TJUXSga&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Pretty much everything after the first question mark is there to track you. I'll bet ebay will know, if anyone clicks on that link, that they got it from MMC. If you happened to be logged into ebay at the time, I'll bet that ebay will remember that the two of you know each other. "ssuid=BhQ9TJUXSga" probably identifies MMC.

All you need for an ebay link is the part up to the end of the item number:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/304728707481

In some cases, removing everything after the first question mark will break the link, so you have to test it before passing it on.
