Yes that's true. Perhaps the patterns might exist. That would be nice but since they are big and brass the scrappers may have already gotten them. Scrappers love brass.

Well that means that theoretically you could still build a Watts corliss.I head third hand that "all" the patterns were saved. Having been there a few times and up in the pattern loft, there are a LOT of patterns.
We saved some engine patterns that we could find in the loft maybe 15 or more years ago when Chad wanted Rough and Tumble to put up a building for a museum. The patterns that we left were mostly general machine parts and probably were not for engines. Even then there was some water damage from a leaky roof. Of course there were hundreds of patterns there and I am sure we missed some good ones. I would be surprised if someone took the time to get them out of there.I head third hand that "all" the patterns were saved. Yeah... I wonder if saved or scrap?Last time I drove by the foundry in Newark (2021), the engine castings which been stored outside were gone.
I have a decent idea of who got them but I'm not allowed to say his name. While it's out of the scrappers hands for the moment the guy who more than likely has it is not much better.Yeah... I wonder if saved or scrap?
