I caught 10EE fever about 25 years ago, on a Rivett, (another story). It transferred to a proteges father, who bought the son a 1941 Round Dial, he still has it. Last year on a visit, I gave it a full-on field day. Imagine our surprise finding not only initials of receiving inspector but logo stamp of Springfield Arsenal.I checked there but didn't see it clearly. May need to polish the rust out a bit more.
Behind my K&T 2D is a pic of John C. Garand at a 2D, without a shred of evidence being so used. My Square Dial has no such obvious lineage, yet.
Collectively, most every bit of our old iron built and preserved our country in some manner, some more distinctly than others.
