I just acquired a VM2 5 axis ready. Really want the new TRT160 since the VM2 is sigma 5. I've hunted for a long time before buying the mill for a TRT160 and found an older sigma 1 that may be NIB and purchased it. Not a spot on it and has cosmoline wax still on it. Then I end up with a Sigma 5 mill, go figure! I'll put the two together for a test run but now that I have it in my head for a Sigma 5 TRT160 I know what's going to happen.
The old 2 4th bolted together style sigma 1 or you have a trt160 that looks like the current bit is a sigma 1 servo?

It's the old style HRT210 with the HRT160 and a casting between them. When I was looking I had talked to Haas Oxnard tech dept at the factory to get to the bottom if the new style would be available in Sigma 1 and he said the motors in the new style could not be ordered as Sigma 1 and would not fit. So when the one I have came up for sale in the shape it is I jumped on it thinking I would put the 5th drive in my VF that is Sigma 1

Really. I thought you could order them with a sigma 1 conversion in the new casting??
Man I really wish I could plug my sigma1 mill into a sigma 5 rotory and just loose the scale function. Id like to get a trt160 for off center drilling.
I have a trt110 but I’m just on the bitter edge of its holding torque for what I’m doing. Nice and light for loading into the machine tho!
Maybe I should just get a tr160.

I thought Sigma 1 was an option on the full line as well until I tried to get the new version TRT160. They told me it was the only one not available in Sigma 1. Totally different motors used for them.
