I'm not an auction expert, but can they really just change the thing you bid on and still say your bid is legally binding? It smells like fraud.No I was bidding on a VMC that stated it was a vertical machining center with 12,000rpm CAT40 spindle. Which should handle anything I’d ever do. by researching I understood that machines designed for machining electrodes will hold a tighter tolerance, but machine steel or aluminum just fine.
Then they changed the listing to correct that it was not a CAT40. Which got me thinking I may not want it now.
The HSK40 is like a BBT30, its good for high speed machining but doesn't have a lot of gauge length capability. If you want to cut with big tools and long gauge lengths, it's not a good choice.
