What about being wooden prevents painting a ring around the ones that get used 10x as much as the others?
Other than needing to avoid chip embedding I haven’t had any issues with wooden holders causing me rusting like others here have mentioned, but most of those end up soaked with cutting oil.
I do really like that wooden collet holders are quieter than sheet metal ones. Seems silly, but if I’m the only one working it’s actually pretty quiet if the spindle isn’t on.
