i'm no conservative, but this sounds like a bunch of balloney. what makes him/you/anyone else that watches this, think that YOU arent being lied to by the other side?

i prefer to look at it from both sides and realize that there's a hint of truth from both perspectives, and somewhere in between is the truth.

Because I think all organic garbage should go in the garden, not to the landfill.
It is what makes topsoil for the continued food needed for survival.

^^^ This is not living in objective reality. It becomes an ideological matrix of relative boundries and relative morality based 100% in what the left feels is right or wrong. Ask any well educated lefty type and they will admit this with glee.

Here are some questions.

Do you believe that you will ever be a subject of estate taxes? Do you believe that giving tax breaks to the fossil fuel industry is a good idea? Do you think that wealthy people pay fair taxes? Do you believe that you should go bankrupt if you have a major medical crisis? Who do you think the current GOP caters to? Who do you think the current Dems cater to? What do you think of Wall Street? What do you think the Democrat's agenda is? What do you fear the most? And there are many more but let's start there.

I think people and governments should not spend money they don't have, that they should always pay some principle in addition to interest, and should butt out of each others' business except in very rare cases. Does that make me a conservative?

A conservative is someone who thinks the good old days were fine and dandy and nothing should change today to make it any different.
In general a conservative is well off financially and emotionally with their station in life and wants to keep it that way.
A conservator will repair stuff to bring it back to original condition. After they are done it will look like they did nothing at all except clean off the gunk. They feel the original maker did it right and any changes would detract from a perfect design. Changing paint colors would be a sin etc.

Yeah, you're probably alluding to the 'borrowing' reference. Unfortunately, it is sometimes necessary and should not be the means of sustaining an existence. I actually left that out of my original reply, but decided to admit that honestly used it can be helpful sometimes.

so a conservative should butt out of what a woman wants to do with her own body, and let HER decide? HELL YEA!

just a note, childbirth is the most extreme thing the human body undergoes, more extreme than an a triathlon, a marathon, an ultra marathon, and was until recently the most common cause of death of adult women, so an abortion, AT ANY STAGE OF VIABILITY, CAN BE SELF DEFENSE.

plain and simple.

if you think we have the right to use lethal force to defend your self and your family, as I do, and am prepared to do, the right of a woman to decide what the hell she wants for her own body is as basic and an equal human right.

I am not a conservative. I am a Christian, that is my identity in all things. Jesus said; "Take up your cross and follow me." He wouldn't have taken kindly to other allegiances.

Nope. But fuel would still cost a lot less if we audited that system and fixed all the regulatory b.s. btw, do you know the tax rate on fuel? Its taxed per gallon and governments make a shit load on it.

Ehh, sort of. I'll say this, if non-wealthy people had the same financial knowledge... they would be wealthy too; or at least paying a lot less in taxes. The super rich are untouchable. It would be a far better use of resources to teach everyone else how to be more fiscally responsible so that they QUIT making other folks richer and keep more for themselves. We need to empower the individual. In is impossible to empower the collective through government regulation - i.e. manipulation of reality

Based purely on the cost of medical treatment? No, absolutely not... but that will never be solved by subsidizing healthcare (government $ = taxes)

With that said, personal accountability is critical. We live in a nation of consumers. Far too many people spend money like a 16 year old girl with daddy's credit card.
If a family of 4 has a $300k house, a $45k car, $65k pick up truck and $25k camper all on loans from a $90,000/ year income- it's not the system's fault when it falls apart and they cannot pay the piper.

Liberty... The right to make your own stupid choices and the responsibility to fully bear the consequences. Life is a dangerous struggle, tread carefully and live prepared.

A den of vipers. Publicly owned corporations, speculative investing and the selling of debt should have never been a thing in the first place, period. Demolish the entire system along with the federal reserve.

I will bite on this one. first off i had conservative parents mainly they just wanted to be left alone, this was in the early 80s in santa cruz california area moved to idaho when the liberal lunies started taking over. But i had both parents the government wasnt my caretaker as i got older i was taught if you want something, earn enough to buy it or do without and that the only thing you couldnt get more of was time. We were poor i think it was a 600 square foot house that was a converted chicken coop. When i was in my teen age years dad basically drilled into us (7 boys)keep your zipper shut until your willing to pay half your income for 18 years. O and as of now 1/3 of any money you make goes for rent. This started around 13 years old, Harsh yes but Effective, 7 boys 2 girls not a single out of wedlock or bastard child. And so far no divorces As i got older i looked at what people were happy and those that were not and conservatives were happier by far even though overall they were poorer. now my mother in law. liberal to the core, totally unhappy, multiple relationships, totally selfish, cant get though her head that if the hand is closed in fist, nothing can get out but also nothing can get in. Entire life on the government dole living on next to nothing,bellyaching the whole time, not lifting a finger to improve her situation. An i hope that when the left of center people on here, here a bout drag shows for 8 year olds they dont think its great progress.
This is one of the few forums I’m on that has a lot of left leaning people on it and its kind of shocking how unhappy most of your online personas are. Most right wingers in my social group either are happy with their life choices, or they are trying to change them, By improving their skills and knowledge.
Just got back from a fathersday get together for my dad and mom. all nine kids made it, most of their spouses and 26 grandkids wether its conservative or liberal when im in my late 60s i want my kids to love and respect me enough to come around and if im always bitching about the little guy just cant get ahead they will not. My opinion anyway and thats why im conservative and proud of it

But most are not vocal about it, they just come here for metalworking info.

Oh man. Them's fightin words with most conservatives that I've known.

I don't consider myself a "conservative".

I was years ago, until I realized that the so-called conservative leadership was talking tough while constantly compromising (without real gain) and retreating in the face of aggressive leftists.

At some point I realized that there was so little left of the America we once new that "conserving" was not enough. The only response was to fight back, not with violence but with information so voters could make informed choices.

Now I'm a populist. America first, our own population first, and the globalists can shove it.

By the way, I didn't waste time watching the video. I have seen enough leftist propaganda and you have made your political views quite clear by now so if you think its message is accurate it must have a leftist, globalist, socialist, internationalist view.
