I have a Hardinge Conquest T42SP. I am looking for a Live Tool Plug assembly that you put in place when not running a live tool in that location. Hardinge has them but they want a lot for them. Their part number is CS 0012036 A.

Any help is great appreciated.

I mean, we had bought a used mori seiki lathe with live tools, and we were gonna make some plugs up. Then we found that someone on ebay started making their own and selling them for like 30 bucks or something. out of 304 stainless to boot.

We only needed a few, so that was cheaper.

OP: if you end up making them, try making a bunch and selling them. You might not be the only one in need.

These things are more complicated than they appear. That screw in the middle is special. It acts on 3 ss pins that push on the oring making sure it can't fall out of the turret.

Interesting. Our live tool plugs are just Delrin with a tight enough o-ring to keep them from coming out, and a screw hole in the middle to make them easier to remove.

My apologies OP. I figured it was a round piece of plastic with a groove :D
