Machine Shop Tours: Utley's
Our tour of incredible machine shops continues. This time we are visiting Utley’s, a super-hybrid job shop specializing in consumer products prototyping.
Founded by the late George D. Utley II in the basement of his mother’s house in Queens, New York, Utley’s has grown into a 40-person team in a 16,000-square-foot facility that combines the best of hand-crafted techniques with cutting-edge machining processes to deliver accurate prototypes and appearance models for companies, designers, inventors, and developers within a variety of industries.
From 2D CAD development to additive manufacturing, the company provides a wide range of services to its customers. CNC machining is integral to their business and their capabilities range from simultaneous 5-axis to turning applications.
To learn more about Utley’s visit their website or find them on social media. Did you enjoy the tour of the shop? Let us know what you think in the comments.
