so here is interesting unit from German Spinner--builder near Munich

traveling headstock
vertical mount linear toolbar --- turret mounted beneath headstock
indexing mill head

microturn has now become a generic descriptor--my introduction to Microturn machines came with ownership of Nebel Microturn lathe--designed and built in late 1950's--early 60's--this machine now in member Halcohead collection

a multitude of builders/marketeers apply label microturn to products--
only Hembrug has a registered trademark--Mikroturn

another aspect of the illustrated Spinner is machine evolution incorporating flat plates or castings for horizontal/vertical structural members--allowing multiple bolt on track linear rail assemblies which appear much easier to service/replace

Not 100% sure but I think Spinner made an attachment for lathes. They fitted where the tailstock is and were driven by two cams.
