What is the best way to put a tap on center on a machine that the tool pockets are wore? This may sound like a dumb question but i've only worked at one machine shop and it is hillbilly hell! we eye ball tap alignment. i know floating holders are a little forgiving but i would like to do things right. some of our mazak lathes have tool eyes and some dont. Any info would be greatly appreciated!
