Just a note Starrett did not make a 14" caliper, it's a 12" The extra 2" are so the vernier can be used. I have 6", 12", 24", 36" and 48" all have additional scale markings so that vernier can be used to measure thousands. As is visible in the photos the vernier requires about 2.5" that's why the scale is 14.5".
If no one wants it I'll offer $40 +shipping since my 12" is new in the box, I'll use this one for everyday use. Would really like to find another 6"
