I just got this grinder in a package deal and have no use for it.

I'm unsure how old it is 1950's?

Have not put power to it yet, will post a video of it running as soon as I do?

I'm asking $750 and can load, the machine is at a friend's shop in Detroit.

PM me with any questions or post them here.......

Thanks for looking!

Kevin

No idea, but it looks very handy for woodworking tools like plane blades, chisels, lathe tools and gouges.

That's exactly what it's used for, here's a couple of links to some of the info......

Wouldn’t be surprised if there was a wood lathe next to it at one time

There was plenty of wood working machinery, this came out of the wood shop that served the school system.....

If I was a knife maker I would buy that machine, the flat tables for making shape and the tilt table for grinding the 17* or what blade angle desired... If hand I don't know about the conical, if it is a grinder or a buffer.

likely after the straight blade angle was run with the clamp, the angle to the point could be run with removimg the top clamp and rolling around to the point by hand.

Yes, one table side for the right edge and the other for the left edge.
