I am liquidating out my building that's been collecting machines for years. I AM NOT a buisness, a auction house or anything of the sort. I scrap and have scrap contract. I have been working with the same scrap company for 30yrs. I would bring the stuff i thought was neat back. As of Mar 4th i am getting $495 a Ton, I figured some of the smaller stuff people may be interested in. Many may have seen this post on all the other platforms but I figured I'd throw it here as well for some of the old heads. You can contact me if need be 440-six five four-8015.

Location: New London, Ohio

Prices are in the videos. There's ALOT of stuff.

The sheer number of machines. I’d want to save that large Niles and the Blanchard.

Hopefully you find buyers for most of it.

A lot of good machines there! I sure hope they find good homes. What is that largest lathe's swing/ length, price? I'm in the market but require a specific machine size.

Can the items be plugged in? If they were hauled away for scrap, who knows what could be wrong with them.

What is the model and control on the CNC Lathe at the 2 minute mark of the drive around? Any info on that lathe would be appreciated, I am like 500 miles away, but know someone close by. A picture inside the cabinet would be nice. Often if a company has many like models one could get cannibalized for parts.

Most machines where hooked up and running and company's purchase new machines. I'll take a look at witch machine your talking your seeking interest in. If it's 480 3 phase it can't be hooked up. It may be able to if someone knew whhat they where doing.

Post as much info as you can, someone will be interested even if it is an orphan control as it could be used for parts.

Somebody needs to save that big-ass Niles. We need machines like that to make the gun barrels for our new Battleships to fight WWII again...

[Are the Germans on our side this time?]

You would be surprised at some of the items our military keeps alive and kicking. I don't do it any more but I did some department of defense work for replacement parts on various items, often working off of WW2 and Korean war era drawings.

That is a lot of stuff, there might be some good finds in those tooling boxes. How are you going to price the tooling and accessorizes you aren't familiar with? Do you have a time frame to clear it all out? Are there any tumblers or heat treat ovens? It was hard to catch all the items on the drive around. Maybe you should do a couple of those and drive slower.

If anyone is going picking, I'm looking for several grinding wheel hubs for a Landis 1R cylindrical grinder. I see no part# on the one hub I have, and don't know if all Landis CG's used the same hub, grinding wheel has 5" ID. If your going picking I can supply dimensions.

I’m interested in the ID grinder but moving it will probably be more hassle then it’s worth. Asking is a bit high anyhow

I am wondering how flexible the asking prices are? Some seem like good deals, others 2-3x what they are worth. An example is that Kysor-Johnson horizontal saw. I have one that serves me well. Depending on condition I see that as worth $300-$600, but it has a $1200 price. Those automatic horizontal saws seem to fetch good money regardless of age and condition, the full manual ones don't.

The OP also needs to spell out how the rigging will work, will he load, for free, or a fee, or do licensed riggers have to show up and do all the work. Also as I said before what is the time frame to clear the place out? A few vultures with cash might want to pick through what is left as the clock hits zero.

In the drive through video there were some large forklifts, hopefully loading is included?

With scrap at $500 a ton nobody's getting deals. Every bit of that stuff is worth more on the scales than a sane person would pay.

Remember 07-08 scrap prices? When shit got over $300/ton you could fire up and drive 3/4 of the stuff that was scrapped. Good working bulldozers, big old forklifts, cranes, etc. I remember I bought a good running van for $250 and drove to the scrapyard and got $900 for it and had a friend pick me up.

I haven’t take a look that much but with scrap at 500 I ton it’s probably worth more to the scrapper than to me. Which is sad. If it was local maybe but not with the drive
