What size RPC should be used? It has a 7.5 hp main motor. A friend is having trouble with his LeBlond shutting down after about 15mts run time. It sounds to me like heaters kicking off after overheating. Perhaps a unbalance in capacitance. He's running a RPC that I cannot say anything about. I haven't checked it. All the RPC Mfr.'s claim hse should be running a RPC double the size of his main motor which sounds overkill to me.

I have been running mine on a 20hp American Rotary for 15 years with no trouble. I also run my 10hp Miltronics ML20 on it with no issues. Always go with double the the load motor size on a RPC.
