Ok, how is SIG making hybrid ammo?

Plain steel cases wouldn't cost much. Composite ones will cost lots more, hence, more income for the producer. : - )

Ok, how is SIG making hybrid ammo?

I guess that recurve at the very bottom is what prevents case separations.

Ok, how is SIG making hybrid ammo?

I wonder if those cases are reloadable. The aluminum Blazer cases aren't.

Anyone here making their own barrels?

There is a simple answer to that, "If you know that will work, stop asking questions and start making barrels."

Threading barrel tenon with a die?

Until someone proposes a specific reason why a die is a bad idea, I have little to lose by trying it. It's really a good idea to have the threads concentric with the bore and it will be really difficult to do this using a die. What you will lose is the barrel, or you will not be able to...

    Can a 9mm be fired from a 40 S&W?

Efficient organizations recognize the potential for these kinds of accidents and schedule their training such that the two types of ammo are not in use at the same time. Reminds me of the traditional 12/20 burst where a shooter accidentally drops a 20 gauge shell in the chamber of a 12 gauge...

    Can a 9mm be fired from a 40 S&W?

Doesn't surprise me. 9mm and .40 S&W are close enough in size that I always pick up few .40's while shagging 9mm.

    Adjusting a scope rail

If I were bore sighting an AR, I would remove the hinge pin and separate upper from lower. Clamp the hand guard in a vise (works best with a parallel sided hand guard) and aim the bore at a distant target, then adjust sights to bear on the target. The lower has no parts that act in this play.

    300 AAC Blackout SAAMI Revisions

The only thing that seems to be highlighted is the RED centerline of the chamber. No idea what that signifies.

My Remington 550 end receiver threads are messed up - how to fix?

Yeah, I was thinking I would fix the receiver threads with the tap and turn a new receiver plug with 13/16-20 threads to match the rethreaded receiver. A new plug would be a simple part to make. You wouldn't even need to make it exactly the same shape as the original.

    Antipode of round bar

I am building a bolt with the charging on top. Don't really understand this statement. Do you mean you want to build a bolt action rifle with the magazine on top (sort of like a Bren?) Bren light machine gun Make sure the shooter can see the sights.

My Remington 550 end receiver threads are messed up - how to fix?

I am assuming what you are calling the "end cap" is part #46. This looks like an easily made piece. Why not make a replacement with a 13/16-20 thread? Taps are available to alter the receiver tube.

Converting top break revolver to 25ACP

You don't say what model you are considering converting and that is a major concern. If it is any of the old .32 cal cartridges, SAAMI rates them in the 12000-13000 CUP pressure range while .25 Auto is about 18000 CUP. This seems to be a not very good idea. Why don't you want to use the...

    Japanese Type 30 Barrel Contour

You think using the Type 30 actions with modern cartridges is a good idea? That model was soon replaced by the Type 38 because of its deficiencies.

    9X19 LUGER D-BIT CHAMBER REAMER.

... he could likely do as well buying a 9mm drill bit ... He would need a 10mm drill to chamber a cartridge. And that would probably work assuming he won't be reloading.

    9X19 LUGER D-BIT CHAMBER REAMER.

From the OP: Has anyone made a 9mm luger D-bit reamer? And a later post: I didn't ask about 9mm chambers, I asked about 9mm D BITS. I think it a reasonable assumption that you wanted to make a 9mm Luger chamber. This is probably why no one has made a Luger D bit: 9x19 headspaces on the...

Only problem with .284 Win is brass is harder to get.

    7mm cartridge choices

Unless you intend to shoot long range (1000 yards or so), I would recommend 7mm-08 Remington. This is basically a .308 Win necked down to 7mm. Not much recoil and should be adequate to 600 yards easily. Mine is very accurate.
