I had an order in with robertsons cartridge company for some .510 whisper unfortunately they just declared bankruptcy. with the price of lapua it was 6 of 1 half dozen of the other to make it, or buy it. Is there any other company that make machined custom brass?

Cases turned from bar are simply no good ......the brass has none of the spring quality of a deep drawn case ,which is what make cartridges practical.

What did the notice say? Was it a Chapter 7 or Chapter 11 bankruptcy? Chapter 11 is a reorganization. Chapter 7 is a liquidation.

A hearing was very recently scheduled to convert Robertsons from Chapter 7 to Chapter 11 (Sub-Chapter V case, or alternatively to dismiss). Filing said it owed $67,430.85 in interest on a loan of $4,044,000.00. Something wasn’t running right. Claims can be filed up till Feb. 23, 2023.

That’s a lot of debt, perhaps a new building or equipment. The bank will have an easy time selling the equipment.

The deposit was peanuts i just have waited 8 months and was thinking it would be here soon cause that was the lead time. Thats okay, those poor guys have way bigger things to worry about. Thankyou for that link
