Lead screw threading attachments equip standard W&S Turret Lathes for tool room quality threading on a quick set up basis.
There is no interference with the flexibility of the Turret Lathe for other metal turning work. On saddle type machines ( the A series} threading
can be done from either turret. On ram type machines threading is only done from the cross slide and with them The lead screw used for threading is a separate portion of the feed shaft.
A single lever on he right of the cross slide controls the entire threading operation.......starting stopping and rapid returns. The power operated rapid return makes it unnecessary to disengage the double half nut follower OR to reverse the spindle when returning for repeated passes. If hand return is desired , or if multiple threads are to be cut, chasing dials permit accurate pickup of threading lead. An automatic knock off for right hand threading is included .
Quick change box permits instant selection 2 to 56 on rm machines and 1 to 36 on saddle machines . Factory installation only
