Hey all,
Have a W&S NO 3 m-2200 and I am trying to figure out how to get the collet chuck re installed. I believe the previous owner converted the lathe from a manual to a pneumatic setup(that’s what on the 3jaw chuck at least). Not a huge fan of the 3 jaw chuck personally. But that is beyond the point. I have the nose and the guard and a large range of collets but I believe i need to take the drawbar out of the lathe to make it work as the collets do not fit with it in the lathe. I have seen some tools online and in person as a buddy of mine has a shop across town. Do these drawbars just unthread???? I assume I will need one of the left hand thread wedge style tools to remove it if so. Just making sure I am on the correct train of thought before I go spending half my day Making a tool I didn’t need in the first place. Any information will be appreciated.
