Looking for any help to ID a missing spindle gear (PT30) for a 12-inch model 30. Diameter, tooth count, etc...
A pre-1921 11-inch model 28 "may" have the same gear. The OD of the rear spindle is 1-1/8.
I know this is a long shot, but it's in good shape otherwise.

I may be able to help. I’ve got an old 1916 vintage south end lathe tucked away in a container.

Can you provide more information about what you’re looking for? I’m not interested in selling any parts, but may be able to provide some dimensions.

This is the gear on the rear of the spindle that engages with the twin reverse/forward lead screw shifter gears. The 12-inch, 1-1/2-inch spindle production dropped at the end of 1916 and the 11-inch, 1-1/2-inch spindle in mid 1921.

After reviewing the reverse shifter gearing, I may have solved the problem.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the reverse gear that the twin gears drive, have to be
matched to the spindle reverse gear? Aren't they just idlers? That would be if the reverse gear is a 30 tooth gear, 16dp and 14-1/2pa the OD should measure 2-inchs? If that's correct, all he needs to do is measure the reverse gear to confirm and have a gear made to press fit on the spindle.

A 30 tooth 16 DP is in fact 2.000" OD
