Hello Practical Machinist,

I currently have a Bridgeport Series II knee mill that has been converted to a PC based CNC controls, the machine originally had a Anilam Crusader M in which many parts have since failed. The machine also has a Bijur Auto Lube System mounted on the side of the column which is in good operating condition, during the retrofit I have also installed a Teco A510 VFD to control the 3-phase power to the spindle. Last night I was able to get the acceleration and deceleration of the spindle property programmed, now the spindle stops in 3 seconds instead of 10. I accomplished this by adjusting parameters 00-14 and 00-15. I have also read a few posts that indicated I could power my Bijur pump through the VFD and program while the spindle is turning. The lube pump can be wired either from a 110V or 240V power source, is anyone else utilizing the VFD to power the lube pump through a output relay? What parameters need to be programmed? Does anyone have a wiring schematic? Is there a better solution, what are others recommending? Please post what you have done on your machine.

Thanks in Advance!

The only thing you are powering is a little clock motor. It will want line frequency, but the requirements for power are very minimal. The timing is built into the output cam, so it will want power anytime the spindle is running.
