Bridgeport Model R Head

I have seen bridgeport made a model r milling head 1/2 hp, has anyone ever seen one I am looking for one for a project

I believe they were used on the Hardinge TMUM mills.

No, Bridgeport made an H head designed for the Hardinge TM and UM mills. The H head is compact in size (short spindle for max head room) and takes Hardinge 2VB collets. Those collets take up to 1/2" shanks and were first used on the circa 1935 Hardinge Cataract Vertical Bench Miller.

The R head is bigger.

To get enough head room, I have seen M heads mounted with brackets that offset their mount above the center of the Hardinge overarm mount.
