Hi all. Thanks for taking the time to read my query.
My spindle will run and stop just fine up to 850rpm but any speed above that and the regen resistor kicks and slows the spindle slightly but then cuts out and allows the spindle to coast to a stop.
I have had a look through the parameters and TL file via motionlink but haven't found anything that jumps out at me to be the source of the problem.
I did have an issue where the regen resistor would turn itself on even though the machine was sitting idle and I think this was because of a voltage spike from the mains. I think I have overcome this issue but am now left with the spindle brake problem.
The alarm that comes up when the spindle fails to stop mentions checking for spindle drift. This is something I haven't done yet as I don't know how to do it and can't seem to find much info on it from a google search.
Any clues from the USA Heavy Iron brain trust?
