Hi all I have looked at a few manuals and can't find anything about oiling the headstock bearings . Would you be kind enough to take a look at the picture and give me some advice
There were several configurations of these machines and two types of spindle bearings: tapered bronze and an obsolete needle bearing setup.
On mine, there are 5 different places to put oil in the headstock. Here is the page showing where to oil on the machine.
The hole cover to the left of the tumble reverse is rear spindle bearing, should be a screw on the top of the right bearing that is the oil port. Tumble reverse and headstock speed reducer go straight into the reservoir under the lid.
