How to Mill an Angled Vise Jaw

December 8, 2021 4:49 pm

Here is a simple way to make an angled vise jaw in a CNC mill. You’d be surprised what you can accomplish with only a few lines of G-code and a sub program with a loop command.

Sometimes you need a different shaped vise jaw, for example when you need to secure bar stock. This particular machining operation is completed with 3/4″ ball nose end mill to create a 15 degree angle (from vertical).

Stay tuned – next time Matt will be using the same technique to machine a radius on a corner of a part.
