Wanting to add an external parts counter..has anybody ever integrated one into a fanuc control. I know there is an internal parts counter too. Can you just maybe take the M30 command and create a hard output for it?
If you have a cell controller you can add a M code along with a few other lines to the beginning of the program and it will run a count and send the data back to the cell controller, the qty will then be visible in the reports.
