Must-Know M-Codes for 3D Printing
In this video from @G-Code Tutor, Marc talks about the M-Codes that are used by 3D Printers and how they are different from what we might find on a CNC machine.
We start off by looking at M42. On a 3D Printer, it stops the extruder if it’s out of material and turns off the heated bed. M43 also stops if the extruder is out of material, but it will leave the heated bed on so the part continues to be stuck to the bed.
So as you can see, when you look at the M-Codes used by 3D printers we have many more that we are used to on CNC machines, so when you get to use a 3D printer, be aware of the differences with the help of this video.
