hey im intrestred in getting an OKUMA MB80 for mold and die. what are your experience with them?

That's a fairly new machine, so I'm not sure how many are out there yet.
I think they're going to have one at the show.

We have the 5 axis version the MU 6300. Super solid machine. Control is really good too. Only things we would want to see different is a broken tool wisker in the tool carousel
31x63 table... I guess you need that size since you're looking at it. right?
20k spindle as the max option is a bit limited. But in that mold size i guess that's pretty decent. Better be sceptical of spindle gowth at that speed. Haven't run higher speed Okumas..so other will have a better idea. What is the duty cycle on that spindle 70%??? What is the smallest cutter size that'll see big cycletime?
There's mold machines out there that'll run 40K+ RPM at 100% duty cycle and they guarantee 24 hour machine accuracy at a few microns. Just depends if that's important for your application.
