Mazak Fusion 640 extended parameters(?)

Hi all!

I'm having an issue with our integrex with fusion 640MT (this question should apply to all fusion 640 controllers).

M code M620 is supposed to slow down toolchanges, and it works as far as the door is opened and the arm is moving slower. When the arm grips the tool though everything stops and that's it.
The drawbar is supposed to unclamp the tool and move on, but nothing happens.

Looking through the electrical manual and the PLC I have found that the timing parameters for the slow tool change is zero, and this seems to be the issue.

Among others, parameter T71 and T72 need to be changed, but the parameter screen only goes to something like T64.

How are one supposed to change these parameters?

I think it's a mk 2 but not too sure tbh. I've heard a tale that all mark 2's had that printed on the Mazak logo placed on the machine, but not so here.

10k rpm on mill spindle but not integrated motor. Full B axis, but simultanious 5 ax work is not possible. Fusion 640MT, not MTpro. Machine is year 2000, or 2001.

the one where milling spindle motor sits above upper turret behind cover? With belts driving milling part of upper turret?

so it looks like it is MK1 generation.

Why are you trying to change T71 and T72? if they aren't inside your electrical diagram, they are something even MAZAK doesn't want to change.
The other thing is MR-J2. MR-J2 does a lot of work as well. Send me PM, I think I have exactly what you need.

Following the ladder there are two rungs for the clamp and unclamp function (as I understand it). One is whithout M620 active which is checked by a NC gate. This leads to T1, T4, T5 for Unclamp timer, Arm swing start timer and Clamp timer.

The other rung is almost exactly the same and is derived through a M620 NO gate from the first rung. This path is active if M620 is enabled, but with T7x parameters instead of T1... etc etc. This path in the diagram is named something like "Slow toolchange" or the like, can't remember exactly.

Looking through the ladder at runtime all the parameters that should have some value is zero. For fun, if all normal timing parameters are set to zero then the same behaviour occurs for normal toolchange albeit faster.

But to answer your question, I'm not sure what I need to change. But I do know that the function can't possibly work with zero in those param's so I need to start somewhere. :D

PM sent, thank you!

I thought I let anyone know who is interested in the solution in the future:

noname777 sent a .pdf that cleared up what parameters to change, and it is parameters T30, T31 and T32, not the T70's I initially thought.
They preform the same functions in the same order as parameters T1, T4 and T5, but for the M620 slow toolchange function.

So, in short, now I can preform a slow toolchange for the heavy multi-tool holders in my Integrex 200SY.
