Integrex Axis buttons not responding

Hi Everyone,

We have a 1996 Integrex with a Mazatrol T Plus control. The machine turns on fine and everything is normal except that the axis buttons (X,Z,Y) don't work and we can't Home the machine. The Axis all move in handle jog but once the home button is pressed we can't move the machine.

Any ideas?

you should probably check PLC signals page to see if ZERO RETURN bit is ACTIVE (1) when, after you power up machine, and AXIS INTERLOCKS aren't active, just compare the page in JOG and ZERO RETURN mode. I think, this ZERO RETURN flag is request from NC to move axises and home them , once PLC sees all home switches made it will report back to NC that HOME RETURN is complete. I think. You probably can see all interlock signals in your PLC ladder, as long as it is available in printed version.

Different problem this morning. On power up I get emergency stop 33 alarm. I researched and some people reseated all their cables in the back on the drive/amplifier units. It didn't work. See pictures but the amplifier in top right corner doesn't have a light or code. 1st pic is when power is turned on 2nd pic is when machine start is pressed.

Ok it started. Wire was not seated properly. I'm at diagnostic screen. Not exactly same as yours. Can I change the values somehow?

Here is the plc screen with machine at rest (the spindle was running in the previous pic) Note 21 and 56 are different from yours.

we are interested in 24. ZERO RETURN. When you power up your Integrex and select HOME mode on operator panel, does ZERO RETURN get 1?

21 and 56 have nothing to do with zero return. 21 is spindle synchronization mode, 56 is saying Y axis mode is active. Probably. It is explained inside Mitsubishi manual.

strange. I guess the only way to move forward is to check PLC ladder and see what is happening with ZERO RETURN signal from NC, also to check if BUTTONS are actually still working. So, once you select HOME MODE, X1E4 supposed to be 1. Also there is this funny X1FA bit that I dont understand the meaning of it.

Nothing silly to do with ATC arm not at HOME or MAGAZINE? If I was Integrex, I wouldn't move any axis at all, unless ATC arm is at HOME and ATC cover door is closed.

I'll look at all of it. Thank you!
