    if your employees do not have a % of ownership then why should they care? You are paying for their skill and experience, not that they care if your business succeeds or fails, that is up to you. If you want them to care then give them a reason, like ownership. If you think they are afraid of losing their job, they may be reluctant, but there is always someone else hiring machinists.
