Inside the Gear Division at Master Machine and Repair | Shop Tour Part 2

Come take a look at the very special gear machine shop tucked away at Master Machine and Repair. This gear department is filled with legacy machinery from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. The machines are pristine. Don and his son Don Jr lead the gear making department. They showed Ian around and share a thing or two about gear making.

Don Sr. has been making gears since the 80s and reminisces on what’s changed and what’s stayed the same. He also reminisces on working on some gears for the 1924 Packard car. Join Ian has he explores this specialized area of machining, gear making, with two experts.
