Afternoon folks.
I've got a turning center on the way, and I believe the voltage was somewhat misrepresented. can anyone tell me what kind of power demands they're getting? I was told by American rotary that I needed a 100hp phase converter to run it, which seems to be a bit excessive, and they quoted me over 15k for it. I realize I should've verified this before, but like I said, I feel like it was misrepresented. Realistically, if the main spindle is 15 hp I wouldn't need much over a 40hp p/c, because starting both spindles at once would be beyond rare for me.

Let me know if ya have any experience/ideas

OK.
The full load is if every motor, pump, fan, light, display, contactor, and switch on the machine fired up all at once on startup.
The computer, however, won't allow that.
The machine starts up in stages, and some things only run occasionally.
A 40 hp converter would, IMO, handle this just fine.

I would greatly appreciate the training manuals, this is my first Daewoo/doosan machine. I'll pm you my email. Thanks!
