Hi I have a Calmotion 4th axis rotary on a 4020. What is the proper way to reset the A axis to zero after dialing in a part in the 3 jaw chuck. With a flat already machined on it on the Y plane.

Don't have a 4th on my Fadal but wouldn't that be set in the Fixture Offsets?

The A axis has to be jogged to home just like any other axis prior to cold start.
Once it’s homed, you set the A offset in your fixture offsets.
