Jason!
Congrats on having a Clarkson T&C.

Our Uncle John Stevenson- or should I say, Gert does a wonderful CD on T&C's which include the Clarkson. Again, I have the original booklet for mine but MaryPoppinsbag on E-Bay has most of the
others which can add a clearer picture about some of the operations necessary to get the best out of the tool.

Whilst I have most of the accessories including the radius attachment, there are huge chunks which I would have written in. I once amused BikePeter who also has one of these beasties with a lathe tool holder for the Clarkson which was made out of wood.
Nothing like using one's head in such matters!

Have fun

Norman

I know this is an old thread and I am sorry to do this, but does anyone know the contact info for the person who runs the Bedroom Workshop site so that I can request a username and password? I am interested in a manual and it seems that that is the site to go to to download that information. Thank you in advance.

looks like a neat machine.
Also free download the cincinnati TC geinder handbook for grinding technoques
The older handbooks are better. the 30s to 60s books.
Every, and I mean every, place I worked at had one. The salesman must have been a genius. They were usually in a corner covered in dust. I never saw one working.

A Cincinnati TC grinder...because they were a drill sharpener and an almost anything grinder, being easy to use and easy to quickly make .001 on almost anything....and tenths if you would bump the hand wheel.

The Clarkston was a short table machine using much the same principles.... along with many similar TC grinders

Most places had a real T&C grinder like a “ Jones & Shipman “ or a “ Cincinnati “ . Why they bought the “ Clarkson “ grinders I’ll never know but they must have sold loads of them. Maybe they were cheap ?

Long story short, I only went looking for a small tool grinder, because I was given a project at work and they have given me some impossible guidelines to meet. Turns out, a used Clarkson meets their requirements. I can't wait to see what new reasons they will give me before we purchase this.
