I just got one of these machines in a package deal, I have no use for it, trying to figure out what a reasonable price for the machine would be?

Any help would be appreciated!

I also got an Oliver 585 Variety Oilstone Tool Grinder with it and will list that in the for-sale section.

Thanks for looking!

Control panel shows tape feed and solids feed for magazine. Machine looks clean but the color is very old. Holz-Her went tits up many years ago and I am pretty sure Wenig bought them.
Edge banders have so freekin many parts that need to move and be in the right place at the right time. My average with a new machine was about 3 months from new for it to be rock solid reliable. Moving parts need to loosen up just a tiny amount so they slide to where need to be, when they need to be there.
First question is how old? Why did it get tossed in to the deal?
If it is 30 years old it is scrap unless you can get it running and tuned up so it does a very good job. Then maybe a few grand IF you find the right buyer.

Will it do solids?
Or just tape?
Looks clean and complete.

I'd look at past auctions on IRS and see what they brought.
Though it's often difficult to compare complex machines - so many are beat and missing so much little stuff they are worthless in reality.

It looks like it will do solids?
Here's a link to the brochure......

It does look like Wenig bought them, that's the link where I found the brochure.

The machine came out of a local school system service shop, they used it for making furniture for the school system.

I was told the machine worked, but they had to tweak it every time they used it, unsure if it was a different operator every time or if it was a long period in between using the machine?

The machine does look clean, and if I had to guess, the machine was new in the 1990's, but that's just a guess?

If there's any questions please feel free to post them?

Thanks again!

1995? You need to get it running and making good parts before anybody will even think about buying it. A shop that needs a bander may call you if you advertise it. They will also call a dealer about a new machine. New machine salesman will stress that yours is a boat anchor with no factory support.
I am in the same situation. I have old banders and woodworking CNCs.
Michigan has loads of need for boat anchors on Great Lakes, I am very close the the Atlantic coast. Can you weld a chain eye to it?
