Is this a standard mic head I can buy somewhere or a custom?

This mic head with the threads on anvil instead of in the barrel.
Is this a custom or an off the shelf part?

A Uniquetek micrometer adjuster for a powder slide bar? I’ve never taken the one I have apart but the end where the anvil usually resides is tapped and a small shcs and nylon thrust washer holds the threaded end on. The other end is standard micrometer.

Yep- you have a good eye.
I am in the process of making a couple for a Star.
I have a bunch of small Starrett and Mit mic heads which are threaded in the barrel.
I am just wondering on the simplest way to dodge this together with what I have..ED86CCAB-828B-4678-BF20-4D35C1462553.jpeg

That Star slide is a ‘OO’ which is .310” thick.
The anvil on the Starrett mic head is of course .200” so working out getting a powder ram in there with the attachment to the micrometer is just a bit tight.

May I ask-
What is the anvil diameter on that Uniquetek mic.
It must be smaller then .200”??

It’s smaller, pretty sure the screw in the slide is 1/4-20 and the mic pierces it. I haven’t looked at it closely in 15yrs. My press is in storage or I’d try and find mine and take a measurement.
