Need help finding a (certain) Standard for calibrating machine positioning.

Hello,

Sorry no pictures. I'll try to describe it correctly. It's a six inch standard with a magnetic base. It has a cylinder that rotates 180+ deg, with two points to measure, that also spin for indicating the axis then back to measure/indicate the 6". I know that's not much to go on. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds a bit like "cylinder square", which is a ground cylinder used for checking squareness relative to the end which is on the reference surface.

I dunno. Sounded more like a ballbar to me.

Or a sine bar?


OP, what are you trying to do? Do you have one of these devices and you're trying to identify it? Or you've seen one in the past and trying to figure out what it's called so you can buy one?
