Good day, Im currently working on a manual surface grinder from Taiwan. The problem is that the table movement got heavy. I already tried to remove the table and then clean the slideway. The slideway is coated with teflon material. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Appreciate the help.

Possible that the oil is absent, that oil grooving is not there, or the Teflon material has worn away the scraping scalps.
Good to post a photo and let Richard King (or one of the other scraping guys) give the final answer.

OH, is it a Tormach PSG 612 Grinde
Q: ( Any suggestions on how to fix this? Appreciate the help.) No, but I guess the scraper guys may suggest scraping and adding a positive method of insuring oil.

Bump back to the top of the threads.
Ruel could post more information..and get some more answers IMHO.

Oil works like ball bearings to make one something slide easily on another surface.. but with surfaces too flat the oil can get rung/pressed out so the surfaces act like they are dry rubbing.
