It's a very nice machine...

I've been running one for 5 years now, with PICO guides.....

I would of recommended the U6 HEAT.. with 4 filter instead of 2 .....

Currently trying to talk the boss into a stand alone filter system .....

I remember you saying something like this on some other posts. Do you feel the two filters don't do a good enough job?

I've run EDMs even bigger than this one, and the work tank would always get more dirty compared to the smaller machines, I think it was just because of the much larger amount of water in the work tank when cutting.

Here's the machine next to it's smaller sibling-

Yes, I stand by that statement, two filters are not enough.

I use the U6 primarily to cut carbide wear blocks for a mine crusher, used as a glorified bandsaw.......lol

The average run time is about 20 hours each liner...

I just can't keep the tank clean. Eventually, it will cause me all sorts of warnings and stoppage issues, until the machine cleans the tank.

The other uses are cutting keyways etc. nothing too tight on the tolerances, since everything is programmed at the control. The company did not purchase the CAD/CAM add-ons for the machine.
